Paranormal Photography.

2nd March 2010 ... 12:51 am

Hi

Here are a few scans from a recent book I’ve come across, Paranormal Caught on Film (link to Amazon UK):

“Extra Figure at the Fire Station” (check out the strange entity inside the fire-station)

“Bacherlor’s Grove Mist”

“Tree Spirit”

(photographers unknown at present, I shall endeavour to get proper credits on here if I can locate the copyright owners.  Assume for now that the copyright belongs to the book from where these images are scanned.)

I came across this book after nostalgically remembering how I was very fond  of reading my Grandad’s Readers Digest volumes on UFO sightings, ghost photography and stories of strange co-incidinces and synchronicity  during short stays on the school summer holidays .

I wonder how much of this imagery had had an affect on my own work and take on the world?

However neutral I am these days on such matters, I do find these kind of images perpetually intriguing, they resonate something within me now in the same way they did back then.  Even if they are all just fakes, I still like to think that they describe a spectrum of the universe that is outside our understanding, however open minded we like to think we are.  I think there is a definite assurance in that..

Also, I want to share some inspiration:

Art & Ghosts ‘undercover’ series.

  • : ) Thanks Chris!!

  • i was just wondering if any of you guys have a first hand experience about Paranormal in real life.;~-

  • hi Daniel..
From the age of 19, right through to my late 20s, I suffered from a condition known as, “sleep paralysis”(sometimes also known as ‘night terrors’). Scientifically, it is described as a sleeping disorder, and the accounts of many sufferers are generally similar; terrifying and disturbing. Generally, the disorder involves the sensation of waking within sleep, but the body paralysed and unable to move. Aside from that (and quite significantly), there is also the accompanying awareness of an unearthly, malalevont presence that proceeds to advance closer and closer, until the sufferer feels they are being sat upon, or pinned down. As you would expect, unable to move, or wake up, this makes for a hugely disturbing experience.
From my own personal experiences, the presence, this sense of being attacked felt entirely real, and not a dream or mind manifestations as science would describe it. The first time it happened, I felt like I was being flung around, sat upon and molested.
This continued sporadically throughout my 20s and eventually came to pass when a final episode did not involve the usual evil, threatening presence, but a woman dressed in white sat at the end of the bed, still and quiet. There was no contact between me and her, no conversation, communication of anything like that. She sat there, I felt relieved, and I have not had another episode since. This was a welcome release, since I was having around 2 to 3 ‘episodes’ every year! Each one just as terrifying as each other..

Make of that what you will.. I’m as objective as the next person, and I know how powerful the mind’s manifestations can be. Science will explain this all away as another sleep disorder, the product of anxiety or a neurological deficiency. They could be right, of course. However, as a human being fully aware to the differences between the states of sleep and day to day awareness, I believe fully that this was a spiritual state somewhere between, and that I was witness to something truly frightening, malevolent and supernatural. Not just bad dreams, but (seemingly) genuine encounters.

As for the lady in white? Well who knows.. She certainly did something that night to prevent any further episodes.. I know what I would like to think :)
