portfolio update.
5th March 2010 ... 7:25 pm
Hello,
I am pleased to announce, after trying out many different solutions, head-scratching and general confusion, I have introduced a ‘proper’ portfolio section right here on my blog. Although I am very happy with the Cargo collective portfolio set-up I have been using previously, I felt it was time to reclaim some of the work and bring it back home, so to speak.
Please follow this link or click on the portfolio section from the menu on your left to find three new galleries; Difficult Dreams, Deconstruction and The Alpha Rhythm (work from 2009 through to early this year). I shall continue adding to this section as and when new projects (and inspiration) come into fruition.

I appreciate you taking a look and hope you enjoy them. Should you have any thoughts on the work, or the galleries themselves, please feel free to share in the comments below or contact me directly if you prefer.
Thanks.
Chris
Congrats! This looks great Chris.
I too use Simpleviewer and love it. Being Flash-based, it’s a small deterrent for plagiarists.
Thanks very much Tanya! :) I can’t find your portfolio on your site, can you provide a link?
Chris, this looks phenomenal! I’ve been toying the idea myself. Was thinking of building a separate website on livebooks, but I might steal your idea until that comes to fruition.

toying WITH the idea***
oy.
Haley, I went through many different slideshow options, and some pretty awful wordpress plug-ins before it struck me that I could build a portfolio with the simpleviewer plug-in. The most important thing for me was that it feels as if it’s seamless experience between this blog and the portfolio pages. I’m hoping that is the case ;)
It’s relatively easy to implement. The only additional work was to create a working ‘chemical gdns’ link at the top left. All the best. If you get stuck with any of it, i’ll be pleased to help out! :)
I’m not an expert but what i saw when i open it in simpleview looks great to me! These are very special images and make me all sense the way you put them.
